SMALL GROUP CLASSES
Depending on the use of the studio, at times we offer small group classes. Due to the small nature of these classes (up to 10-12 persons per), we will be able to customize exercises based on one’s body mechanics, injuries and fitness level.
HIIT Classes:
HIIT stands for high intensity interval training and this is exactly what you will get in this class. There will be 10-12 stations set up each class, each one focusing on a particular movement and muscle group. Stations will involve a mix of cardio and strength, utilizing bodyweight and equipment, but nothing overly complicated. As participants move through the stations on a timed basis the goal will be to do max level intensity based on one’s own abilities… not competitng against the other participants. Short rest periods will also be timed between the work stations but never long enough to hold a conversation about where your next meal is coming from! 😉
While the class structure can accomodate beginners, it is advised that participants have a base fitness level and knowledge of their thresholds.
Deep Stretch Classes:
Just as the name implies, the nature of this 30-min class is designed to help stretch muscles and open joints that otherwise you may ignore. This is not a yoga class. There are no downward dogs, chaturangas or anything requiring coordination and skill. Instead, you follow along to a routine of stretches, holding each up to 90 seconds.
